The Carlyle Lake Visitor Center, located within the Dam West Recreation Area, offers information and nature exhibits, including a 215-gallon aquarium with native fish.

"The beach is nice. There is a lot of space on the sand. They have a station of life vests to use if you need one, as there is no lifeguard. The picnic tables were clean. There is a credit card machine to buy the day pass for $5."

"Very nice!! Love the bike path. Beautiful campground with helpful, friendly volunteers. We had a nice, level site with full hookups. Laundry facilities at the campground were convenient and inexpensive. We also enjoyed the visitor center and bike path. Overall a great stay!"
