La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Chicago O'Hare Airport

"For a hotel chain that is supposedly a highly rated chain, this one fails to meet expectations. First it took multiple calls to get the airport shuttle. Then it took almost 1 1/2 hours before I was able to get to the hotel. The room had been prepaid, but they put an additional $50 hold on my card. Room has only 5 lights, three of those are lamps, one overhead at the entry and one in the bathroom. Severely overpriced for the service and location"

"I've stayed here once before but actually forgot how bad it is. First, the smell in the bathroom. Don't know if it's a certain chemical they use to clean but it was horrible this time. The key card kept being unactivated and I'd have to go down to reception area. Would go to the parking lot and couldn't get through the rear doors, had to walk all the way around to the front. Hard to do with bags and luggage. Yes, I know. Cheap motel but that's no excuse. I've stayed at many cheap motels in much better condition."

"I had a 19 hours layover in Chicago and this place was really good. It have a shuttle that can pick you up and drop off for your next flight. My room was clean and comfortable and spacious. The breakfast have all the food needed for a quick breakfast. nothing fancy, the food offered is according to the night rate: waffles, boiled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, breads, bagels, juices, yogurts, coffee and so."

"Not a nice hotel and definitely not for a sweet romantic getaway. It’s literally just a place to sleep and get the heck out and head the airport the next morning. My room was clean enough and airport shuttle is reliable if you call ahead and reserve a time. Shuttle drivers are very friendly. The other guests in the hotel are questionable- a fellow guest I rode in the shuttle described his stay the best: it feels like a homeless shelter."

"Awful will never stay again First the rooms we reserved were not available, given new rooms and they were filthy! Dirty old broken chair, carpet falling apart and very dirty, wall and ceiling coming apart. Broken bathroom door, slow flushing toilets. No coffee maker. Outlets have burn marks in them, sprinkler in the bathroom is stuffed with a bag. We used to stay here everytime we visited but it definitely needs to be updated and cleaned. We will never stay again. We would have left but we couldn’t find anywhere else to stay"
