"I understand that basketball is popular, but it would be great to see an increased availability of badminton courts or dedicated time slots. This would allow a more inclusive and diverse use of the facilities, catering to a broader range of interests among the community members. I believe that by addressing this concern, the REC center can become an even more welcoming space for everyone. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to seeing positive changes in the future. Today front reception staff came in and gave the basketball people more priority and because of that we had to stop our game in middle and take off the nets. It is clearly not an inclusive policy about giving every sport a equal chance."

"We have a big group that comes to play badminton everyday Mon-Fri. The front desk lady Tony is prejudice against us and we all completely feel it. Often, we are told to show proof of our membership and it almost feels like we are being picked on. She refuses any requests that we have pertaining to booking the courts. There are 4 basketball courts and she asks us (group of 8) to stop playing for 1 person that wants to play basketball in that specific court. We feel unheard and this attitude should be changed. We look forward to playing every morning and this isn’t how we hope to start our day."

"We have been coming to play badminton there for 2 years now. It doesn’t go unnoticed that the front desk representative (specifically the woman name Tony) is biased towards our group. Often times we are spotted and harassed in front of others about check ins and identification. She literally sees us everyday and knows we have membership. We feel extremely discriminated. We have spoken about this to others in the front desk but no action has been taken."

"Great facility but very biased front desk people. Almost to the point that a lot of feel that it’s discrimination but nothing ever gets done. Basketball gets priority over all other sports. They will go above and beyond to kick everyone else out. Pathetic staff. Will file an official complaint with the City of Carrollton."

"Will absolutely never use the rec center room rentals again. We coordinated an earlier start time and have emails with them confirming this. They will not allow my mother into the room to begin setting up because the person who signed is not present. Nobody in any of our emails and communications said that my mother coming early would not be allowed, in fact they said that would be fine and to come even earlier to pay the balance. This was a waste of our money and time and a nasty front desk representative went on a power trip laughing in my mother's face for trying to come early and set up a child's birthday party. So much for community. So much for kindness and hospitality. So much for customer service. Disgusted with our community rec center. Will be letting everyone we know what a terrible experience we have had and making sure nobody makes the mistake of supporting local like we did."
