"I have no complaints about Dr Ekmark, he has always been helpful. My complaint is with billing. My last visit was for a covid test. I am cash pay so I paid $85 when I arrived. The covid test was $127 and I paid that before I left. Then I received another bill in the mail for an additional $97!!!! That just seems ridiculous to me! $310.00 just for a covid test! I called to dispute it and the Connally system kept giving me the run around. Big waste of time and money!"

"I've been trying to make an appointment for 2 weeks. Phone system isn't working - for 2 weeks. I went through internet to make an appointment. Appointment denied. Can't get in touch with anyone in the office to make an appointment. Tricare assigned me this Dr as a PCM a month ago. Guess I need to call them and let them know he's not working out as a PCM."

"Excellent physician! My family and I have seen many physicians over the years, and I can honestly say that I'm thoroughly impressed with Dr. Ekmark. He actually tries to find out what caused someone to make time to see him, and he has a great bedside manner. He very recently went out of his way to personally treat an emergent issue with my wife, and I was floored (in a good way!) at what he did to take care of us. I trust my family's care with him, and I would recommend him to others. We are fortunate to even have family medicine practitioners in this community given the dwindling number of physicians who choose to do so, and I am glad and appreciative that Dr. Ekmark has chosen to serve us here."

"Dr Ekmark started out as an amazing doctor for our area, but as he got busier his care and bedside manner has gone downhill drastically. My entire family used to be patients and due to poor diagnosis and bedside manner that has sometimes mimicked that of a child gradually my daughter, husband, and myself have all stopped using him. My autustic son, who liked dr ekmark, is his only one left. And after the encounter today with Nikki at the front desk today who knows. My son knew he needed to do a urine test and politely explained to Nikki he needed a cup NOW....because he needed to go and couldnt hold it. 10 minutes later when i came in feom the car he was still waiting for the cup. I went to the desk and explained my son was on medications that made it difficult for him to hold his urine and he would need a cup NOW or he wouldnt be able to do the urine test. 3 times she said hed have to wait. He said he could not hold it any longer. Nikki made a very big, loud scene in front of the other patients in the waiting room about how he only needed to wait another minute. I again explained on the meds my son was on, he could not hold it. Nikki continued to argue loudly from the front desk while i was sitting accross the waiting room. This was not only demeaning and embarrassing, but also violated hippa guidelines as it was no one elses business in the waiting room as to the fact my son needed a urine test to continue to get meds or why his medical condition wouldnt allow for him to wait any longer. I dont think ive ever been treated as poorly as my son or i were today in any capacity when seeking medical care. Dr Eckmark really needs to work on professionality, bedside manner, and following hippa guidelines from everyone in his. Office as i am so disappointed in todays visit i may be filing a complaint with the hospital later today."
