Sears Heating and Air Conditioning 890 Perimeter Drive, Schaumburg, IL 60173

"I have insurance with American Home Shield and when I requested service to fix my AC they assigned Sears Heating and Cooling. A technician came to my house told me I need new AC since my current AC is too old. He said he let AHS know. The technician never told AHS or made a detailed report on what he did. The Technician was from this location. Now Sears can't do anything and neither AHS without report from the technician. I tried calling this location after waiting on the line for 20 mins a lady picks up the call and I tell her what happened. I let her know that I'm trying to find the technician she yells "Sir!! what did he work on?!" I replied "My AC" She transferred my call to sears general customer service i had already called them before."

"I will start with summary of my experience in few words STAY AWAY ! from Sears refrigeration home services and Kenmore product. We have purchased Kenmore Elite french door refrigerator in 2012 and after 4 years in service last year we had to replace compressor (fortunately under warranty) this year however another major repair this time condenser not covered by warranty after 5 years cost $700. But the worst part of all this was trying to have it repaired. After four days after ordering parts thru Sears parts direct I have been notified that my parts are on back order without any time frame of when I can get them. I went on my own and ordered parts from eBay. After confirmation with expedited shipping I scheduled repair with Sears. On the day of the service I took a half day off from work to accommodate Sears as I wanted to have it done ASAP. Thirty minutes before arriving service man called asking few questions about the problem. I said that Sears diagnosis was already performed around 10 days ago and I have scheduled repair. He declined the service as his schedule is set for diagnosis not the 3 hours of work required. Very dissatisfied I called Sears and talked to the manager. She apologized for the situation and assured me that she will fix it. She scheduled next available repair appointment three days later. I was relieved that finally I will have my refrigerator back. On the day of the service a phone call from the service man on the way to my house. Same question as in previous appointment I said to myself not again. Yet, history likes to repeat itself. He announced that no repair will be performed. At this point I gave up and didn't know what to do. I called Sears but the same almost robotic voice on the phone assured me that this will be fixed on the next appointment. I did not believe a single word that came out of the person on the phone. I asked around friends and relatives even inquiring online chats. I found local service that came next day and repaired my refrigerator. Sears offered me whole bunch (30000) their useless points worth like thirty bucks. I said that they can stick it. Again this is more time than I wanted to spend but if I can save one person what I have been through it is time well spent."
