"While hearing aides are under warranty there are parts to the hearing aides that are free, but once the warranty is expired, you have to pay for them. Unfortunately I was not told this until after the warranty expired. So ask right from the start for the spare pieces so you have some when needed. When traveling and you can't find a hearing aide specialist to make repairs, it's handy to have the spare bits to do the repairs yourself."
