"Not very happy with them after my last visit. I sold a piece of gold that I had melted down from 24ct scrap I buy online. He tested it and said it was 18ct. I expressed my disbelief and anger because I immediately thought I had been ripped off by the people I buy scrap from. He said "well, its almost pure." Well which is it? Almost pure or 18 CT? I needed the money even though I knew it wasn't a good deal which is why I stupidly accepted it. It was 19.1 grams of 24ct gold and he gave me $600. It was worth twice that. I went home and tested the sample piece from the piece I had sold and wouldn't you know it, it came out 24ct. That was an expensive lesson to learn. Be careful with these guys, or anybody that you sell gold/silver to. Don't make the same mistake I did just because you need the cash. Shop around. I guarantee you can find better deals than what he will offer in this Watauga store. Get your items tested from multiple buyers. I have a feeling most of his 24ct buys come back as 18ct unless it's stamped."

"I love this place. I walked in w out a clue what I was doing and Kevin, the owner was the kindest most caring and compassionate store owner I have ever dealt with. I came in almost every day this week and he helped me go through everything I had. I brought in cases of spoons and he checked each one by hand and found some gold in some of the stuff I brought in. He never treated me like a nuisance and listened to my troubles and I knew he truly cared about me and my family. It had been a tough week but Kevin made it a little brighter. He's honest and fair and I wouldn't go anywhere else ever to sell my gold and silver. Trust me when I say, once you meet Kevin, you won't want to go anywhere else either. Thank you Kevin for your kindness and patience."

"I brought Kevin some sample silver coins from my uncle's estate we were liquidating. He made me feel like they were basically worthless, and although melt price was about $18.20, he offered me $17 each. The lot of 165 coins were sold elsewhere, and the market brought between $26.88-$32.50 per coin. I felt disrespected by the lowball offer I was given, and I would not recommend doing business with them."

"The Exchange Gold Store is a great place to buy gold and silver bullion, jewelry, collectors coins, proof sets, or just to browse around. Although they have some steep premiums on some coins (I paid almost 10$ premium for a Canadian Bison) they have great prices on other products and some of the best customer service I've seen in a long time. The owner is very knowledgeable about all his products, and can give you pretty good advice if your just getting into precious metals. Do remember to bring cash, as that's all they except, and the door is locked until they buzz you in. All in all this is a great store, and I will be coming here again!"
