"Backyard Retreats just finished an excellent deck for my wife and I, with a unique bench, planter box, fence, and gate. The decking is Fiberon composite decking and the other elements are all cedar. The final product is beautifully done - exactly what we were hoping for. I had several contractors provide estimates and Backyard Retreats was the best - not the cheapest or most expensive, but (as far as I could tell) the most competent in composite decking and in anticipating the challenges of our particular space. Email responses were very quick (usually within an hour, never more than a day), the written quote was clear and professional, conversations were friendly and helpful, and I was able to continue communicating with the same person throughout quote, build, and pay. The team that showed up to build was awesome. They worked quickly, but without cutting corners. There are hundreds of small decisions that are made throughout a project and they did the right thing every time. Our deck is sturdy, square, and professional. The guys on the build team were courteous, answered my questions, and kept the space clean while they worked. When we weren't quite happy with the way the fence looked after they finished, they did the rework without hesitation. Seriously, when they were just a couple of nails away from finishing, we said we didn't like the look and they pulled 40 boards back off the fence and added a 1" gap between them without a second thought. Good guys. We are very happy with our choice to have Backyard Retreats upgrade our patio - great work!"
