"I woudn't recommend this managment company. The great thing is the neighborhood, close to restaurants,stores,public transpotation. We resided at the Bryn Mawr Avenue apartments. Unfortuately,when renting here we didn't check the water pressure. We barely get hot water out of bathroom faucet. It takes a while for the water to get hot when taking a shower. We did not check the kitchen cupboards prior to moving in. The cupboards were roach imfested! It took a while before a exterminating company was sent out. We are still dealing with a roach problem years later. The company said they would have treatment every month. Well, that wasn't true. Now we are dealing with bedbugs! Luckly the residents talk to each other. In my complex people have moved in and out. The doors and inside entrance could use some paint to make it look more appealing. I will say Denise, Pam, and the lady that sits at the front of office are very professional and helpful. We have one mantenance man for several properties. We really hate to bother him. BTW there is only one washer and dryer for each complex! Anyway, you get what you pay for."

"I rented an apartment at the W Surf St building owned by this company. During my time there, the power constantly went out, my locks broke multiple times, the locks to the gate and building themselves did not work so there was no security, and the maintenance man, Arpy, was incredibly disrespectful and unresponsive. There were a few times when I had to go into the filthy, rat-infested basement myself to turn my power back on in the middle of the night because Arpy wasn’t around and I needed power for the AC to work. He would yell at me and blame me for any problems in the apartment and on the two or three occasions that he actually came to my apartment to fix something (leaking pipes), he didn’t warn me ahead of time. On one occasion, I was working from home in my pajamas when two strange men started unlocking my door. They said Arpy sent them to fix the sink and that they didn’t know I’d be home. And those were just the scenarios where he actually responded to my texts/calls to help. When I told him there was an unsafe amount of mouse droppings on the stairs, no reply. When I informed him that myself and my neighbors were unable to do our laundry for weeks because of a national coin shortage, no reply. When i let him know that several dryers were not working and were eating peoples coins, no reply. A few nights ago, the night before I finally moved out, my back door locked on me while I was taking out the trash. When I called Arpy, he once again yelled over the phone about how stupid I am and how glad he was that I’d finally be moving out. He also said he wasn’t home and hung up on me. I had to call back to get him to even send someone with a key to let me into my apartment. The whole situation was humiliating. This is more of a review on this specific building than in H&J, but if you’re looking to rent an apartment in that specific building, here’s your sign: DON’T. DO. IT."

"To any potential co-op buyers: I wouldn’t recommend this company for you. Simply because the management people suck."
