"If you can avoid renting from Mangus Properties, I suggest it. They have the least expensive properties in the area, and sometimes that’s what a person needs. Just be aware that you get what you pay for (and actually kind of less than you pay for). Their rent payment and maintenance request portal are easy to use and that’s positive. However they may take a VERY long time to remedy your request or possibly never do it at all. I spent half of the time I lived in my apartment without a working oven/stove and with plumbing problems that had raw sewage filling up in my bathtub. It was not until I got a lawyer involved that the problem was fixed."

"By far the worst landlords I've ever had. I'll try to make this as clear and concise as possible for anyone thinking about making the mistake I did. First off the day I moved in I complained that the front blinds and mailbox were broken and they assured me that someone would come to fix it. They never fixed that or anything else the entire time I lived there. The floor was warped to the point that the bed could not stay in place without me putting spacers under the legs, the walls had large tumorous growths to them, how exactly that happens, I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. The hardwood floors were all painted with some sort of sticky paint that stuck to everything over 5 lbs I left on it. There was an abandoned car in front of the building and one behind the building for almost an entire year and the hallway always smelt like trash water and cigarettes. NOW FOR THE FUN PART! In the summertime the two window AC units were constantly on, I assume because of this I was able to breath. However, come the winter I turned them off and the heater seemed to fill the air with dust. I told the landlords though, as always, they did nothing- so I bought an air purifier. I also found that the heater in the basement had a large gap in the duct in which air was circumventing the filter. My girlfriend and I would avoid going over there because in the morning after spending the night we both had significant congestion problems. I realized later that just being in there without proper circulation of the air for an hour was enough to make me start hacking and coughing. Then there's the infestations! First it was bedbugs, which was a living nightmare of course, and though they did have someone come spray, they refused to speak to me or return any of my calls or emails for 3 months. Fortunately, the pest control professional was very communicative and told me when he planned to return, what courses of action to take, etc. After that pestilence was finally routed out, then came the mice. Obviously Keith was of absolutely no help at all there, just like everything else. All in all, these people are slum lords through and through and I wish them a very failing business model. "Most of the staff is very responsive when I have a question or something that need to be fixed. They are very kind and understanding! Especially Keith,Dennis, and Linda(I'm not sure if she still works there,but super sweet)I must admit the ratings scared me a bit after reading others experiences,but I honestly have had no bad experience from Mangus! I've been here for a year and will stay for years to come! Whenever there's a problem,It is addressed very quickly. Whenever I need something over the weekend, I always get a call the same day and someone to come out."

"This is the worst management company that I have ever dealt with. They do not respond to maintenance request in a timely fashion. You have to call them over an over before someone responds to you. They tried to charge me a late fee before and I was never late with my payments and when I had them take a good look at the account they were wrong and tried to blame it on the computer system. Now that I decided to move, they is playing games with giving me my deposit back. All of them suck, from Linda to Lauren and Keith. If you find a property and they manage it run the other direction."

"Do not rent a property managed by Mangus. They were unresponsive to our maintenance requests. It took them almost 3 months to replace a dishwasher. At one point they lied to the owners of the building saying that they had ordered it and then called us the next day asking to (finally) come look at the dishwasher so they could assess it. It also took them 2 weeks to repair the AC. Other tenants in our building went months without response to maintenance requests and even one woman did not have a working sink in her unit for 2 months. Every time I would call their office, it was difficult getting a hold of the person we needed to speak to. We were finally able to get the owners to switch management companies and it was a world of difference not working with Mangus. Again, do not rent a property that is managed by this company!"
