"I stopped in for the trial class with my daughter and signed up after. The facility is spotless and clean. Professor Chris teaches the class techniques in a way that those with little to no experience in BJJ can pickup. The atmosphere is inclusive and fun. Coach Kathy and Tom run the children’s class and are very attentive and patient with the kids. Just as impressive is that the higher ranked belts are willing to share techniques and help those new to the gym. I highly recommend those thinking about stopping in to try it out!"

"Ohana is great! Started a few months back along with my 7 year old son. Both the adult and youth classes are taught by great instructors. Personally I have never done BJJ or any combat sports previously and this place makes you feel welcome from the get go. They also just started a fundamentals class for folks that are newer to BJJ to give them a good foundation (although all levels can attend). Kids class is great….my son really enjoys the classes and the friends he has made. One of the most impressive aspects of the gym is the culture. Everyone is there to make everyone better…regardless of experience and level. I was really impressed with how the upper belts were so welcoming to us ‘new guys.’ I have really enjoyed the experience so far. If you are interested in learning BJJ the right way…check it out!"

"I have been going to Ohana for 6+ years and just have to say I've never felt more comfortable in a Martial Arts gym. The owner, Chris, is beyond knowledgeable yet very approachable and humble. The gym has hosted world-class athletes in both MMA and BJJ and is well respected in the community. The energy of the gym includes competitive students and hobbyists alike, and every works together to become better versions of themselves. The instruction is great, and the sense of community is fantastic between the adult classes and the kids' classes. As a coach in the kid's class, I've gotten to enjoy watching so many kids grow confident and disciplined and most of all having fun with their new friends! I cant wait until my daughter is old enough that i can bring her! The parent community has been very welcoming to new students and their parents, and many have made good friendships outside of the gym. BJJ is my 10th martial art that I've tried, and with Chris's school, I have found a lifelong passion in BJJ! If you are thinking of coming in either for yourself or your child, please come in ASAP. You won't regret it!"

"I’ve been coming here for almost two years now. Started off in the Friday women’s class and just joined the (coed) adult class. All the coaches are kind, helpful, and great teachers. They work with everyone of all ages and skill levels equally. I’ve met lots of great people and higher belts that are just as willing to help you learn. The women’s class is a great class for any woman that has an interest in BJJ, especially if you’re not ready to jump right into the coed classes. However, the coed classes have great people as well and are also very welcoming."

"Back in May, we signed up our 11 yr old son since he had shown some interest in bjj and he had time in his schedule. Not only does he love the kids class and Coaches Cathy & Tom, but his twin sister insisted on trying bjj and she’s been enrolled since June. My 15 yr old started in August in the adult classes and he loves it as well. Additionally, one of my kids has some special needs and they are so accommodating. Besides the warm welcome from the Ohana staff, we’ve been welcomed into the parent community…it’s been great."
