On Course Riding Academy

"After taking a two year hiatus from riding after college, I came to On Course to get back into the swing of things. All of the instructors and other riders were incredibly helpful and welcoming showing me the ropes and answering questions I had. Val has a great range of horses for everyone from beginners to more advanced students and always finds a way to challenge you in a supportive environment. The facility recently moved to it's new location and we are blessed with a large indoor arena, with plans for even more development! I can't wait to see the transformation as Val continues to make the facilities her own, and I'm so glad I chose On Course as my barn for journeying back into riding as an adult amateur. I couldn't recommend the barn enough."

"Not sure why they have reviews so high. I went here once and NEVER AGAIN. First of all it had been snowing and they don't even have a normal path to walk on other than wood boxes, I got my regular shoes all muddy. I scheduled a group lesson because it was a better deal than a private one. So I get on this horse and if you ride you'll know that obviously every horse is different. This horse liked to go towards the middle of the arena a lot, and I tried different methods but nothing, the instructor was useless, just standing there talking with another person that works there, not giving directions or anything except to change directions or trot. Pretty much blamed it on me that I couldn't control her horse, well the horse is yours, I've never ridden your horse before, if you gave me THE method for YOUR horse maybe I would be able to!! Nothing worked and again she was super useless. That's the first awful experience of riding I've ever had and made me even consider not to continue on this path. I've been riding for 6 years. They also gave me a creepy weird vibe for some reason which was very weird. DON'T GO HERE. Waste of money and time and will make you rethink your life choices."

"This barn is the best in the area. My family just loves this barn the atmosphere is so open and welcoming it is just amazing. The horses are all awesome. The trainers are great with kids of all abilities. We are so glad we switched."
