"So many good things to say about 10th planet! Coach Eric and his assistant coaches are INCREDIBLE with the kiddos! They do a wonderful job of showing the kids what they’re doing and making sure they understand. They usually wrap up with a fun game and they kids have so much fun with it. The flexibility of being able to pick which (M- TH) days of the week you attend is also super helpful for working parents. Highly recommend!"

"Sunday at 11 AM is Open Mat. Anyone is welcome free of charge. No gym memberships or sliver linings required. This gym is no gi only. I have experience at 4 jiu jitsu gyms, and 10th Planet Crystal City is my favorite out of them. The owner and black belt coach, Eric, is a super nice guy, always bringing a lot of energy and positivity to the mats. He's happy to facilitate casual training, but also has a tournament team that does well in locals. If you have a more serious mindset, Eric will flip that switch and push you. The schedule is currently 11 AM Mon, Weds, Fri, Sat, 7 PM Mon through Thursday, and 6 PM Mon & Weds. All classes are mixed level. Brand new practitioners should do the 6 PM Mon & Weds. There is also Muay Thai at 6 PM tues & thurs. I haven't done the classes, only watched the tail end, but the instructor and a few of the students are legit killers. If the gym is lacking something, its that it is one year old and is lacking upper belts. Right now there's something like 1 brown belts, 2 purple belts and a hand full of blue belts. Classes are usually about 8-20 people with all kinds of body types and a couple women in each class. Actually speaking of women, this is the highest woman ratio gym I've been at. Maybe its because Eric is such a good looking guy, but its probably because his wife Jackie is a banging BJJ practitioner too and she comes to a lot of the classes. If you are new to Jits swing on by on a monday or wednesday at 6 PM. Bring some shorts and a T Shirt and give the free trial a shot."

"10th planet Crystal City is amazing! I contacted them about my 5 year old daughter who wanted to give it a try. They let her come to a class and test it out to see if it was going to be a good fit, and it's now her favorite activity to do!! The environment is super friendly and everyone is welcoming of newbies. Now my daughter and I both train a few times a week , I'm so happy we found this place"
