"Apparently, you have to sit on a chair in their waiting room for up to ten hours in order to get emergency medical assistance after being taken to the emergency room by the ambulance?? I had to go back home in Uber and in the morning seek help from a compassionate doctor who cares about our veterans. Unbelievable! I hope never to see those people again..."

"My mother came into emergency room of glenbrook hospital in glenview august 4 after immediate care physician suspected stroke symptoms As she arrived and specified she is possibly having or had stroke - was told to sit and wait Wait time turned out 10 hours before being taken to treatment room She and my father repeatedly reminded receptionist about stroke and importance of being seen promptly without any results. To any normal medically trained staff - stroke patients must be seen as soon as possible? In the treatment room physician on duty examined my mother and said she doesn’t see anything unusual and was about to discharge her but my mother insisted on having MRI done which doctor said “ if you insist but it’s another 2 hours and then wait about 2 hours ) . Results of MRI turned out to be stroke and patient was admitted- after 10 hours of delay and wait and good thing insisted on MRI! Regardless how busy ER is - stroke symptoms must be considered and given priority not 10 hour wait Shame on admitting staff and medical personnel for that kind of negligence"
