"Hired Michael Shatz to handle child support issues, after he used up the retainer fee he called and asked, “What’s your plan?” Seriously I hired a lawyer , 30 days later my house was sold and I’m homeless, the proceeds went to my ex wife and I called him with my frustration, he filed a motion to remove himself from my case , what a looser , he doesn’t do anything to help and is insultive during basic conversations, stay away from this lawyer"

"If I could leave a lower review I would. If your judge appoints this GAL, file a motion and do whatever you can for a new one. She did absolutely nothing in our case. Continuance after continuance which only racked up the bill with her and our respective attorneys. She was appointed in May and we filed a motion forcing her recommendation in October. We literally had maybe 3 conversations in that entire 6 month time. She never contacted my attorney and was clearly bias in our case as she and the opposing attorney would text and call evenings before our status. I'm not entirely sure if she actually reviewed anything in the case file we gave her based solely on the questions that arose during our pre-trial. Thankfully things turned out fine in the end because we had a fair judge. At the end of it all, after she made her recommendation, the billing continued for services that were not needed any longer. I get that the state gives them cases that don't pay, but to rack up the billing on cases that do? Do not expect any integrity while working with this woman. I tried to have conversations to give her a chance to correct things, unfortunately she refused."

"Fair warning, Michael Schatz does not care about you. He cares about a paycheck. He was assigned as a GAL to my case about 4 years ago meaning he was assigned to represent my son's BEST INTERESTS. While he was GAL, my son's mother dropped my son into a bonfire. We also had video of her dropping my son (one year old at the time) off without a car seat. Schatz literally admitted to my attorney at the time that she was way more of a danger to my son than I was. So what does Schatz do? Advises that she receive majority custody and puts her in charge of all primary decision making. Makes sense. And on top of it all, he charged us $4,000 for it. Guy is a scumbag. Buyer beware."
