"Dr. Rollins is nice enough but his nursing staff are awful with making sure patient medications are called in like they are supposed to. My mom is 81 and has alzheimer's and has to follow their contract yet they don't do what they are supposed to. It is a hassle to keep on them to see that they follow through with what they say they will do. She had complained to me that they did this to her all the time so I started handling her appts for her and she was not lying...they are awful! It is totally unethical as well as unprofessional. I plan to look for a new doctor for my mom as this is the most ridiculous treatment of a patient that I have ever seen. Shame on all of you for treating the community this way!"

"Universal Pain Management is the medical practice of Dr. Donald Roland educated at the University of Illinois and a native Chicago area resident. I mention his education because our large medical center complex in Kankakee County prefers to hire physicians from untraceable medical schools where it is impossible to assess the quality of education that they’ve received in order to become a physician. I have been a patient of Dr. Roland’s for nearly 10 years. I have multiple spinal issues and a leg that underwent a surgical procedure gone desperately wrong resulting in me suffering a crippling stroke (CVA) and the inability to walk without crutches. I found Dr. Roland’s clinic after trying the large hospital’s pain doc without success. Dr. Roland immediately sent me to imaging and laid out clear plans that I could understand regarding my treatment. Dr. Roland is always a pleasure to speak with and extremely professional as is his staff. You will never see someone with ambiguous initials after their names and need to be wondering exactly what their training and is experience is. Dr. Roland was an anesthesiologist prior to opening this clinic and is an MD (Medical Doctor). Dr. Roland and his staff are people I’d like to have as neighbors simply because they’re so accommodating and genuinely friendly. The clinic is clean, easy to get to in Bourbonnais, we’ll equipped, affordable, and efficient. Prescriptions are provided and routine testing is done on site. Patients receive a text message to confirm the script that is interactive so, missed or erroneous prescription refills are avoided. It’s amazing, to me, that I am able to describe the pain in my leg(s) in the most elementary way and Dr. Roland and his staff pinpoint the problem and solve it in one procedure. I am very thankful for Dr. Roland and his staff and I sincerely hope that they continue to be available to the tri-county area. I strongly recommend Dr.Roland and his staff. They are miracle workers to me. I literally came in on crutches Thursday and I’m walking without assistance on Friday. Thanks Dr. Roland."

"They were dishonest about having surgery precertified. They have placed the blame on the insurance company, the insurance company states the procedure is not and never has been a covered procedure. Every time I call, I get the run around from Ms. Roland, she never returns phone calls and does not follow through on what she says she will. It would be a refreshing change to get some open honest communication and follow through from them. Needless to say, the surgery did absolutely nothing to help the problem either."

"I have been seeing Dr Roland on and off for almost 20 years now. He is very caring and compassionate as is his staff. He is not dismissive and there IS a method to his madness. I've had multiple injections over the years and yes most are not pleasant. But you always have the option of mild sedation and talk to him he will listen. Also, as frustrating as it is for chronic pain sufferers HE has to deal with the insurance company's, Medicare, and the government (all the new regulations). I have come to trust Dr Roland and respect his opinion. I would never see another pain doctor. *And in regard to the previous post, despite the contrary, he is human and as such human beings have the occasional bad day. Besides, Dr Roland having stayed human, despite being a doctor, IS WHY he is so Great!"

"Unbelievable I thought a doctor is suppose to have some compassion. I have severe pain in my neck and back and all he wants to Do is injections that are not helping at all. So i asked what else he can do and he referred me to a surgeon which is fine. However I can't get a appointment until 01/18/2018 however my pain meds refill the doctor refuses to refill in December unless I let him give me another painful injection that's has not worked yet. So some compassion not just getting my insurance money."
