"Yikes! Each trip to and from O’Hare was a scary, ridiculous trip. Driver was empty when he got us and had to ask us to stop at a gas station with him. Then, he left us in a freezing cold car with temp set at 60 and had a check engine and tire pressure warning on dash. He drove a straight 25 minutes with his left turn signal on and never turned it off. Stay AWAY!!"

"Terrible experience with American Taxi. Arrived at ORD and ordered a cab (order #753945@08:21PM 2/20) waited for 35 minutes with constant promises of the cab being 'a few minutes away'. Called the driver twice, left voicemail, but no response. Eventually canceled and got a Uber. Horrible communication, unreliable service. Wish I could give 0 stars."

"Very great company, I have been using it for more than 10 years, comparing prices between Uber and American taxi taxi service, every trip is economical from 10-15$, this company has been updated in the last year with new cars and better service. Drivers always arrive on time and are very careful on the road, I feel very comfortable when they send me a Lexus, I recommend it to everyone."

"SO many reasons not to use this company, but difficult to do business with is the big one. Their website usually locks up or goes into a loop, and their app is so much worse, I won’t even address that. The only reason to use their web services would be that you’re in a great mood, and wish to put yourself into a really bad mood. If you’re just looking for a ride, look elsewhere."

"Drivers generally are pretty good, and in my very limited experience, better drivers than the ride share drivers. That's why I now use American Taxi for all of my trips to and from the airport. And the "Blue Car" service isn't much more expensive than the regular service. BUT... the company's receipt service and recordkeeping is abysmal. Sometimes the company doesn't send me a receipt for rides, which means I have to ask for the receipt in a really poorly-designed web interface. Worse, the receipt doesn't show even part of my work credit card number, which makes me have to jump through more hoops at work to get reimbursed for the ride. The ride share services are MUCH better in this regard. The app is pretty clunky in design, the cab tracker is hilariously old-school in operation, but it gets the job done and the cabs come more quickly at the airport than the ride share services. So, lots of tradeoffs."
