"Do NOT file your taxes with Monty at Helen's Tax Service. As a business owner that was in a bind, I reached out to Helen's Tax Service for help with my business and personal (family of 5) taxes. I have always filed my own taxes, but felt unsure with some major financial changes with our personal finances, so I filed and extension and met with Monty. I was scheduled a meeting the very first time I called. His business is in an awkward location that made me unsure of his services, but I decided to follow through with the meeting. I explained our situation and he agreed to help. He told me to send what I had over and he would let me know what else he needed. He said he could get everything ready to be filed in one day. I am extremely organized and had everything already calculated for him. After turning everything in, I waited and waited. After almost 3 weeks, I called for an update to see if he was done. He asked me if I ever sent my forms and personal info over. I told him that I did on the very same day that he requested the information. He then claimed his computer suddenly malfunctioned and that he would call me back once it came back up. He called me back almost 6 hours later and it was done. We had a meeting the next day where he said we would be getting a little over $100 back EVEN THOUGH I never paid any taxes for my profitable business throughout the year. I expressed my concerns, but he assured me that he stood by the numbers. We owed him $700 which I paid. He said it would cost extra for a flash drive with a copy of our 2022 return on it, but I requested he just send it via GoogleDrive since I don't like clutter. He agreed. I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. I have been calling, texting and emailing him for 4 weeks to get a copy of our tax return. I finally decided to reach out to the IRS directly and write this review. I'm so afraid that I'm going to get audited... but even if I somehow do not owe money for 2022, I still cannot recommend for you to stay clear of Helen's Tax Service enough..."
