"Such a pretty place that I stumbled upon one evening. Looks like there is a lot more to explore and I would love to go back when they days are longer. Some water runs through different areas, lots of trees and paths. A little noisy as it’s right off a main road but still really nice. It’s nice to have these parks in my area, it’s a good way to clear my mind after a long day."

"Pleasant retreat near the river. Great place to encounter various birds. Saw and recorded pileated woodpeckers and barred owls. The trails are for the most part unmarked and the map provided at the entrance did not reflect anything I encountered after crossing the creek on the little bridge. When walking in the low wetland make sure you keep an eye out. There are archers all around."

"For a semi rugged trail with old, towering trees, river access, a wooden suspension bridge, and historic significance from its detection by Lewis and Clark, this secluded gem is a great hike. If you don't mind the difficulty, it's also good for a little of offroad biking."

"Seems encroaching cell towers have cut these hiking trails in half and purple marked trees along creek tail trail makes it seems property owners are contesting property lines along creek.( It's public within so many feet don't worry, but don't quote me on how many feet exactly.) Still a decent hike and definitely steep in a couple areas , though plenty of good footing. and one of few available nearby. But the old adage of it ain't what it used to be , definitely applies to this area. Hopefully more money and attention can be brought back to Saint Stanislaus and new trails can be cleared and/or existing trails properly rerouted around cell tower. Instead of just putting up signs stating "End of Public Use" and ending it at that."
