"I highly recommend Semisi, the massage therapist who owns this business. He's skilled in several types of massage therapies, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Lomilomi, and likly others. He is a native Hawaiian who was taught Lomilomi through the native Hawaiian techniques that have been practiced and handed down for over a millennia. After reading about the assisted healing properties of Lomilomi, I decided to try it, as I didn't want a more superficial Swedish massage but wasn't prepared for deep tissue. If you're interested in Lomilomi, I'll tell you now it's worth it. Do some research and go into it with an open mind and body, prepared to allow Semisi to perform the Lomilomi massage. I've greatly benefitted from his Lomilomi and Deep Tissue massages. I am honestly amazed. I had numbness going down the front of my leg right, unable to flex my toes all the way up along with other injuries. My doctors told me it was the L4-L5 section of my back hitting the nerve. I didn't know what to expect with my first Lomilomi massage. I told him what was going on, we had a moment of silence, and he proceeded. I was face up the whole time (never experienced that), but that didn't stop him from getting into the right spots of my back. After the 2 hour session was over, I immediately felt a great sense of release of energy from my body. The next day, I started to regain feeling in my leg, and it continues to get better. I can flex my toes again. It was hard to comprehend that I had found a healer and his massages are different than any other massage therapist I've ever had. Semisi is intuitive and in touch with his clients' bodies, where their tension and energy are stored and gifted at helping release that energy. We are truly lucky to have a caring, gifted, and healing native Hawaiian that practices Lomilomi right here Nauvoo, IL. Thank you, Semisi. I really appreciate the healing work you've done on me. And the Deep Tissue massage was amazing. Not too rough, not too soft. Thank you again."
