"I am an alumni. I had a positive experience here. I will say I’ve heard there’s new management here and that post 2019 & beyond it’s gone a bit downhill. I had blast during my time here, such a shame to hear others negative experiences. Such a cool campus to study and learn in."
"I’ve decided on probably going elsewhere to continue my education. This past few months I’ve been nothing but stressed due to no one being able to help me and receiving bad services & attitude. (I’m also new to this state). MY EXPERIENCE: I applied, I set up an in-person appointment with a success coach, which soon turned into phone call 10-15 mins before my appointment because he wasn’t in office anymore. I did the pre assessment and sent him proof, he said I was good to take the TSI assessment & take the vaccine, okay cool. It’s the day for my vaccine, My appointment was at 1, and my test was at 2.. The lady decided she was gonna take her lunch right when I got there *i just missed her* and come back an hour later, cool I guess I’ll just take it another day. 2 rolls around, I go to the testing site and the lady at the desk was treating me like I was slow or something as if i didn’t know what I was talking about and proceeded to tell me I couldn’t test due to having the wrong “proof”. And constantly kept cutting me off. This was very frustrating because no one would give me a direct answer on what I needed to show. I spent $15 on parking just to be there just for an hour. I’ve never been so frustrated & disappointed. **ALSO GOOD LUCK WITH GETTING SOMEONE ON THE PHONE**"
"I’ve been trying to get a hold of a program at El Centro. When I send them an email, it seems they never respond, even if it is an urgent matter. I even contacted the dean, but the person is also unresponsive, which is unfair for me. This program I’m talking about is unfair to me. By providing false information, even though I have some evidence. I need some answers for the program I’m talking about. It’s been a week already and I haven’t heard from them. A college should be communicative with its future and current students. No matter who I contact they always seem so unresponsive. This is why I’m giving a 1 star."
"I received my Associates of Science in the year of 2022. One of my last science courses was Biology II for science majors. I was very disappointed with the fact that in the textbook the authors had the audacity to say that there was no intelligent design (No God). First of all, it is a science class. They have no right to be making those kinds of statements in a scientific environment. Second of all, if religious people are not allowed to express their beliefs in an educational setting, why do these people feel entitled to express THEIR PHILOSOPHICAL POINT OF VIEW? It was very revealing that the people who control education are trying to brainwash young people into their lack of belief in a God which creates a lot of young people with the belief that their is no point in your existence. The Government should not be allowed to input these kinds of beliefs unto young minds to create a chaotic society. If they don't want to teach about the bible that's fine. But it's hypocritical that they DO want to teach THEIR meaningless beliefs onto young minds. This just shows how controlling and brainwashing our government is and how they want to make you feel meaningless and pointless. Shame on the education system and who ever wrote that book."
"Edit to add- It seems the design program at Dallas College is getting some much needed repair. This is great news and hopefully they can keep this going. Such a great thing for the new students! This place is a JOKE! If your degree is important to you and you want your degree and process achieving that to be taken seriously please RUN as far as you can from Dallas College. They are just looking for your money. The Interior Design program is a dumpster fire and should be completely re-evaluated. 5 credits from graduating only to be told I have a hold on my account due to testing I should have taken BEFORE I could take any classes.. testing to see if you are college level ready.... it makes sense that the graduation rate is 9%. This place is a JOKE!!!!"
