"Overall – exceptional and excellent work. For perspective, I had five 6’ columns built (previous columns were torn down, removed, etc.). And after I saw the literally perfect job done on the columns, my wife and I agreed that we should explore the possibility of adding brick veneer to both the inside and outside of a patio enclosure that had been completed by a previous owner but with minimal investment. The following specifics are included to provide a bit of “foundation” for providing Jim Dayton Masonry such an exemplary review as noted above. Work was first-rate. All work was expertly completed and all columns were plumb, level, straight, etc. The installation of an ornamental gate (between two of the new columns) after the masonry work had been completed was perfect because I trusted the job done on the columns. The fit of the gate and the “reveal” from top to bottom gave more evidence that the columns had been expertly built. By the way, one “old” column had deteriorated and a second column had been the victim of a hit and run, so all columns were replaced to avoid a “old” and “new” column brick mis-match. The brick “match” that Jim Dayton found was a surprisingly close match. The inside and outside wall replacements with brick posed several issues due to the original work on the addition/modification. Each issue was expertly resolved and the finished product was literally a “night and day” type change for the better. Mr. Dayton was on top of the entire project and resolved many issues that arose. And his team was professional and timely. That is, they showed up when they said they would and completed the work in a very reasonable amount of time. I observed no “short-cuts” whatsoever! The price for all the work performed was amazingly competitive. The job-site was left in pristine condition and there was no stone left unturned. Jim Dayton knows his stuff, is a pleasure to work with and is honest in his suggestions, etc. – not only is his work exceptional but he is one who can be trusted! I would recommend Jim Dayton Masonry without a single reservation!"
