"Guess I'll join the Windstream 1-star club. 45 minutes (and counting) today on the phone to request a name change on the account. This is 3rd time I've made the request. Ironically, the phone connection to the call center is scratchy with the world's worst hold music although, in fairness, no hold music sounds good after almost an hour to make a basic change."

"Aside from the terrible service both on the phone and in person, I want to mention one thing: Poka Lambro's phone line gets you to a person immediately. They are kind and knowledgable. And their technicians waist NO TIME talking. They ask where you want your equipment and get straight to work. Windstream, however, made our experience an absolute nightmare. Never again."

"Horrible company. I’m moving from Dallas and I called to get new service. I was told I would get fiber optic and when the tech gets there to install the internet he states it’s DSL. I called to cancel hoping I can find another provider. Since there is not another provider I asked winstream to go ahead and reinstate the connection. They were suppose to come yesterday and never came. I called the today and they stated the order was cancelled. I had to put in another order which the ran my credit again. My first order did not require a deposit And now they are requiring a $100 dollar deposit plus a $50 dollar activation. I was told to hold so the customer service rep can speak to he supervisor to see if they can adjust since the initial order last week did not require a deposit. They had me on hold for 25 min and again blind transfer me to someone who has no idea what I’m talkin about . I hang up and right now I get an email regarding my instillation. I call them now and they can’t find an order or instillation for me and I have been on hold for now 32 min to speak to a supervisor to hopefully get this resolved. WINSTREAM NEEDS TO BE BOUGHT OUT BEFORE THE GO BANKRUPT DUE TO THEIR HORRIBEL SERVICE. If I didn’t need Internet for my online schooling I would not even bother with getting internet. This company is misleading and they have horrible customer service and don’t care about peoples time or needs."

"If there was a less than "one star" option available I would have chosen that. I have been trying for over a week to get windstream internet service at my new home. This company can not get my address correct for installation and have failed to show to 2 separate installations because they won't enter the correct address in their system. So, 2 days of missed work later after Nelson (Florida call center) a "supervisor", promised my account was in order and assured me that I would be getting my service, I still have yet to receive it. I am totally disgusted with this company and if I had any other options besides them I would be willing to pay triple the cost of their available packages. These "supervisors" are next to impossible to reach again over the phone once you hang up with them. I have left countless voicemails with no return."
