About the Business
The Dallas Swing Dance Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and educating the public in the art of Swing dancing from the early 20th century. "The ballroom is big! It's welcoming for college students and families because it is in an arts center rather than a bar. Also, it is volunteer-run, with plenty of opportunities to volunteer for free admission. I have been volunteering with them for over four years."
"Fun place to learn to swing dance! They give lessons, then have three hours of social dancing time afterwards! The one thing to keep in mind is parking, which can be tricky to find the first time. Give yourself a few extra minutes for that, and check the website for details on overflow parking, if needed."
