"My daughter is a patient of hers. My daughter, my most stubborn daughter enjoys her sessions with her. She’s feels comfortable talking with her. In the sessions where I was asked to sit in on by my daughter, I witness my daughter open up more about her feelings. At some points in the sessions, I felt the need to defend myself as a parent/mom/human being... while I was able to reach an understanding of where I’m coming from, it was clear that the focus was for my daughter. It was such a relief to know Michelle was a good advocate for my daughter. She’s not there to tell me what I want to hear, she’s there for my daughter. We haven’t been keeping up with sessions because of my hectic schedule and my daughters rigorous school work. My daughter recently made A Honor Roll for school and as a reward, she requested a session with Michelle instead of her usual new video game request. Not to mention, my other older daughter wants to start seeing Michelle too! She came highly recommended by my longtime friend who is a licensed counselor and I would definitely recommend her to others."
"I’ve been meaning to write this review for a year and I finally got around to it! Michelle Gunnin is absolutely awesome and a genuinely great natural listener. She is rational, and logical yet instinctive. I’ve been going to see her for the past several years and she has helped me make a lot of progress in my disorder. I’ve done therapy before and the therapist was mostly concerned with getting their point across rather than listen and observe to make a proper analysis. She is understanding, compassionate, and I’ve learned a lot about myself thanks to her input and guidance. She understands the importance of mental health and is encouraging in every aspect of that. I’ve learned to personally identify my unsettling thoughts and guide them in the right direction. The success of the patient is not only dependent on her guidance. It takes two and one of them has to be you meeting her in the middle and willing to get the help and support you need. Her front desk/receptionist is helpful, polite, and friendly. As far as billing issues go I’ve never had any problems with that. Even though it is understandable when there are billing issues, it’s not always the fault of the office. All of my appointments have gone swiftly. I highly recommend her!"
