"I don’t even know where to begin with this travesty of a set up. We used Home Depot’s home services to have granite installed in two of our bathrooms. I’m not sure how they choose the contractors that they use but as a consumer, you don’t get a say in it. That’s only part of the problem though. When you have the granite installed, that is pretty much all they do. We had to disconnect all of the plumbing (not a tough task), hire a glass removal company to remove and reinstall the mirrors, and then hire a plumber to come out to install the sinks and faucets. So the price that they give you isn’t too bad but it’s because they do so little. The guy who came out initially told us to pick any sinks and any faucets that we wanted to have installed we just have to have them there at the time of install so that they can measure and cut the holes. Unfortunately, this stinks that we purchased would not fit. We didn’t find this out until the granite guys were here and ready to start making cuts. Home Depot only had one type of vessel sink available so we had to go to a competitor to quickly pick up two sinks and bring them home. The granite guys showed up an hour and a half early and were annoyed that the people we hired to remove the mirrors weren’t there yet. They said that they would try to work around it to which I responded, so long as you can do it without damaging anything. For some inexplicable reason, they removed the mirror along with the trim that went around it. They messed up the ceiling and chipped off a large chunk of the mirror trim. And then to top that all off, they took the granite for the master bath upstairs and drilled the holes while indoors. The guy had told me before hand that they do it outside because of the dust that it creates. So as one can imagine there was dust all over the bathroom, in our closet, and our bedroom. This was the most frustrating experience we’ve ever had with a service like this. We just bought this home six months ago and we have tons of remodeling work to be done but not one red cent is going to be spent using Home Depot’s home services or buying products from them."
