"Very bad experience of living in one of their accommodation. They were really slow for their service and the lady on the front desk was very rude in every visit we had. We had to terminate the lease because we had to move to a different state and despite of knowing our desperation and urgency even when we brought people who were willing to live in that same apartment right after we left they told they wouldn’t accept anyone we bring or recommend. They made us pay the rent for more than a month after we left. Despite of us leaving our security deposit and the Rent while we weren’t even living there, they still charged various different fees and made us pay for it all by threatening us by sending our payments to collection. VERY DISAPPOINTED on how they treat the international students."

"If I could give zero stars I would. I’m easy to get along with and don’t usually complain. It’s different when you can’t even use your back deck because they refuse to fix it and make excuses for why it’s not fixed yet. “Weather” is the reason I got, amongst other excuses, yet we’ve been renting this place for about 9 months and it’s still not fixed. I do not recommend renting from them. They will screw you over just to get your money."
"I rented my first apartment with Athena, and I had a great experience! The apartments are affordable and well maintained, and maintenance requests are answered very promptly. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a positive experience. I would definitely recommend Athena to anyone else renting in the Cape Girardeau area."
