"I really enjoyed my first time getting cupping with Dr. Dunlop. She has a warm and calming voice that immediately puts you at ease when she goes over what your needs are before the session. I was having alot of neck and back tension which gives me headaches from time to time. She really listened and explained what her plan of treatment in detail. During the cupping session, she also made sure to explain what she is about to do and the sensation that you may feel so I felt calm and relaxed throughout my session. "Dr. Dunlop is warm and friendly. She took her time to assess my medical background and my current health concerns. The fact she is a MD gave me a lot of comfort that she is also knowledgeable in western medicine. For months I have had issues falling asleep in a timely manner. I don't like taking medication but for 5 months I have become dependent on taking an excessive amount of melatonin to fall asleep. Melatonin is a hormone which is meant to be taken only for a short period of time. Dr. Dunlop took her time to listen to my concerns and explained why she was inserting the painless needles in specific areas. To my pleasant surprise the session was very relaxing. I am so pleased that I have only taken a moderate amount of melatonin a few times (during times of travel) since my appointment. "In an endeavour to do hold an unsupported hand stand, I inadvertently did something strange to my left wrist. I tried the usual, working through it, complaining about it, the chiropractor, and some novice massage by my right hand, but something was up and I was told to try acupuncture. So hold up. I HATE needles. Terrified. Dr. Cristina also does acupressure and cupping, so I made an appointment and felt confident my issue could be treated without anything sharp near me. Her office was absolutely calming and we sat and chatted for a few moments about my wrist, as well as my fear of needles. She started with some acupressure and a salve that was so stimulating, I considered trading in my morning cup of coffee for it. "Healing Circle Medical Acupuncture is the absolute best! I came in hoping to alleviate many years of chronic back pain exacerbated by work. Although I have never tried acupuncture, I was hoping for an alternative. Furthermore, traditional medical treatments were not helping, so I wanted to try something new. I was more than happy when I found an acupuncturist who is not only an MD physician, but a trained anesthesiologist with many years of experience. Dr. Dunlop was very friendly over the phone and I was able to schedule an appointment easily. Her office was easy to get to and she met me personally in the waiting area. There were so many plants too which I loved. She took her time to do an initial intake, getting my history and physical complaints. After completing the intake portion of the initial appointment, she gave me the privacy to get changed into shorts and move onto the acupuncture table. I was nervous that the needles might be painful, but they were not at all. She also performed acupressure treatments as well. I felt so relaxed during the entire time. From the calming background music to her soothing and caring voice, it was an amazing treatment. Dr. Dunlop took her time and I never felt rushed at all. Plus, the price for her treatments are extremely reasonable and actually much cheaper than other practitioners locally. It was well worth it and money well spent for improvement in my back pain. Several weeks later, I continue having significant improvement in my underlying pain.
