Hearts Therapeutic Riding, located at 17000 Trails End Cove in Leander, Texas, is dedicated to using the healing power of horses to serve children and adults with special needs, as well as individuals recovering from trauma. Veterans are especially encouraged to come and experience the benefits of riding with us.
Our certified PATH instructors and volunteers lead therapeutic sessions and riding lessons that help participants build trust, self-confidence, reduce stress, and develop communication skills. Hearts Therapeutic Riding is accredited by PATH Intl., ensuring that we meet industry standards for providing safe and effective therapeutic riding programs.
Participants can enjoy instruction with horses both on horseback and on the ground, with the support of our dedicated volunteers and instructors. "I believe they do the best they can given the budget and size of the ranch. The horses are living beings like people. They split their time between grazing and being ridden by multiple strangers. I’m grateful for the opportunity to spend time with them. I understand from experience that the horse I ride on any particular day is going to react and behave according to how they’re feeling that day. And I just go with it and make the most of it.
