"This office is terrible! They NEVER return calls for appointments or questions. I really like Dr. Alexander Meyer but left the practice because you can never get ahold of anyone there."

"I moved to Kirkwood a year ago and needed to find a doctor nearby. After researching for a bit I landed on this place to see Dr. Chen. It’s been awhile since I have seen a doctor because I have 3 young kids and a husband that travels a lot for work. They couldn’t get me in for 3 months which I thought was pretty normal for any doctor’s office. But 2 weeks before my appointment they sent me a message on mychart to tell me they cancelled my visit because the doctor would be out. Im sure with my appointment landing close to the end of the day and being a new patient it was an easy decision to cancel if he had something going on. When I called to reschedule they couldn’t get me in for another 3 months. That is not okay! Not to mention the receptionist was extremely rude! If you are a new patient I would try to find another option! Im sure Dr. Chen is a wonderful doctor, but that is not how you handle the situation. Poor customer service all around!"

"I cherish this practice and my providers there. Dr. King, Megan F, Marina and the other doctors are so caring and wonderful. I have had various ailments over the years and they have always supported and assisted me to help me navigate my health. My husband and daughters are patients too and we feel valued and cared for!"

"This is a difficult story, but one that should be told. Let me start by saying that the staff are fabulous. That's why they got 2 stars instead of 1. I started seeing Dr. Chen as my primary physician almost 2 years ago. He recommended medication for high cholesterol, and I asked if I could just work on my diet and lifestyle as an alternative. He referenced a chart that indicated I should take the medication but agreed to help me with a diet plan and a goal of getting off of the medication. In short, that never happened and not due to lack of effort on my part. In fact, over the next year, there were other circumstances where I tried to talk to Dr. Chen regarding a concern or question, and he clearly wasn't hearing me. (or was just being dismissive). I've had to seek help from nurses (Megan and another) to get my questions answered and to feel "heard". It got to a point where I was concerned about my health and asked to switch to a different primary physician. I was told that a new doctor would be starting in the office soon, and I could switch. I was happy with this resolution, but still wished Dr. Chen would hear my concerns (if not for me, for other patients). I inquired recently about when the new doctor was starting, and Dr. Chen said it wouldn't be until August, and recommend I just go to a different office altogether. I told him I would wait, there were no emergencies and I like the Kirkwood office on Manchester. So today I received a letter from Dr. Chen, stating that he would no longer be my physician, and gave me 30 days to move to a different facility. He stated the reason as: "you have shown inappropriate and disruptive behavior to our staff and our clinic". I can only assume it's because I complained about Dr. Chen? I am definitely finding a new physician. It's dangerous when your primary care physician is too busy, distracted, or just plain disrespectful to listen. But sending a letter accusing me of inappropriate behavior is a whole new level of unprofessionalism on his part (and feels a little like bullying). I believe that if you're not comfortable with your physician... if you don't feel he's listening to you... you should speak up. you should say something. And your doctor should be respectful of how you feel about the care they're providing. I didn't curse, yell, name-call.... I stated that I felt dismissed. An agreement was made to switch me to a different physician within the facility, but Dr. Chen didn't like that so he sent me a nasty letter accusing me of being inappropriate and giving me 30 days to leave. Just when I thought I couldn't be any more disappointed with Dr. Chen.... he resorts to bullying. Please consider using a different primary physician (especially if you're female). Your health is important! And don't be afraid to say something if you feel dismissed. - I'd like to add that in viewing Dr. Chen's reviews, mine is not shown. I have filled out my post appointment survey twice expressing my concerns, but neither appears to be anywhere in the list of his reviews. What happened to those?"

"Not impressed with the service or office protocol. My husband and i were here today for an ultrasound testing on his leg in suite 310. My husband is in a wheelchair. Suite 310 had a heavy wooden door. The person at the desk told us to go through another heavy wooden door and check in. You check in by phone. Which i thought was very impersonal and rude. The woman at the desk could not check us in? We didn't understand the directions posted on a sign by the phone and the woman at the front counter was cold to help us. I also felt checking in by phone at this time of year is very chancy. There was no disinfectant cloth to wipe the phone off. Honestly, I've been fighting congestion and cough for two weeks now. After you check in by phone we go back out there heavy wooden door. Again, why couldn't the woman at the desk notice we are in a wheelchair and check us in instead of going through the heavy door 2x? Not very handicapped friendly. The young lady who did the test was very nice, friendly and professional. Id rate higher for our experience with her. But not the older woman and not how you make handicapped people move around so much to just sign in."
