"We have had both of our children at Leon Springs Pediatrics for quite some time. I am not sure why we have stayed. While Dr. Popp is the constant there the practice typically has a second physician. To say they have a hard time keeping a second physician is an understatement. They are now on their 3rd in a short amount of time and now this last is not a doctor but a PA. While Lauren is very nice, caring and helpful I will be surprised if she stays. Dr. Popp is arrogant, he doesn't listen, is condescending, and dismissive. It doesn't stop there either. The worst part about this practice is the office staff. I do not include Genesis in this review as she has always been very kind, sweet and helpful. The office manager has the absolute worst customer service skills I have ever encountered. When asking how she wanted the medical record release form sent (via fax or email) she kept telling me its sent by disc. When I told her she was not understanding what I was asking she proceeded to tell me I didn't understand. When I said do you want the form sent via fax or email to retrieve the records she finally understood. Not sure why that was so difficult but more than that why she is allowed to speak to parents like that. I have asked for Dr. Popp to call me although not expecting much from him I have yet to receive a phone call. After reading the reviews for this practice the common theme is the front office staff is rude with terrible customer service skills. Reason number 1 for leaving this awful practice."

"Dr.Popp and Mrs.Lauren are awesome! The front desk are friendly and love the way they treat my kids. The nurses know what they are doing and so patient with kids. The providers listen to what I have to say and they don’t rush. Highly recommend this clinic!"

"Worst experience with a doctor's office I've ever had. Front staff are rude and the doctor condescending. When I called for a sick appointment, I provided symptoms she'd had over a period of three weeks, and they told me I had to go to the ER. I tried to explain she only had a low grade fever at that point but they refused to see us (this was our first encounter as we just moved here) without an ER visit. Refused. Neither the doctor nor nurse would take a minute to let me explain the situation. At the ER, they did little more than take her temperature and tell us she was fine. Nothing else. Now we have an ER expense. After a well child visit, they told me I had to schedule her next appointment before I left as she needed a vaccine (but she was on steroids and I was told by her pulmonologist to wait on the vaccine). I asked if I could call and make a follow-up and the front desk person said she had to get permission first. Then my husband called for a referral and they said they would no longer see my daughter. We had already decided we were going to another pediatric office but there is a waitlist at the one recommended by friends. Now we need to find another asap. What an arrogant doctor and staff."

"I am a first time Mom and I absolutely couldn’t have found a pediatrician that we love more than Dr. Ponzio! She is truly a gem and my son adores her! Her caring and sweet personality just lights up the room! She has such a love and passion for what she does. She’ll go the extra mile to ensure she offers the best care possible. I can assure you that you are in good hands with Dr. Ponzio! The office staff is wonderful as well! I’m always laughing with Genesis when she answers my calls and look forward to seeing Sandra when in the office. So grateful for such a great team to help me navigate through motherhood!"
