About the Business
Roanoke Jiujitsu Academy is a gym and health institution located at 1108 North U.S. Highway 377 in Roanoke, Texas, United States. Our goal is to create a family and community-focused space for anyone interested in learning the Gentle Art of JiuJitsu. Conveniently situated at the intersection of highways 114 and 377, just two miles from Byron Nelson High School, we offer classes for kids ages 5-13 and teens/adults aged 13 and up. Membership is offered on a month-to-month basis with unlimited JiuJitsu classes and no contract. We do not charge for promotions or require belt testing fees, as our members earn their ranks based on development.
You are welcome to try out as many classes as you need for free to see if our Academy is the right fit for you and your family. Our laid-back and recreational environment is perfect for learning and practicing JiuJitsu. We have programs tailored to different age groups, and parents are encouraged to join their kids on the mats for children's classes. As a Veteran/Teacher owned, Christian, Family, and Homeschool friendly organization, we also offer free memberships for police officers and schoolteachers.
With training available six days a week and unlimited classes and open mats, there is never a charge for trial classes. Stop by anytime to see if Roanoke Jiujitsu Academy is the right place for you and your family. We can't wait to welcome you to our community!

"Great place to go train, excellent culture. If we lived closer we would train there. As it is coach Zac holds a fight camp for kids every Friday night and welcomes kids from all gyms. That was our exposure to this gym and we are very impressed with how he conduct the class and are aligned with him philosophically. "Highly recommend this academy for grapplers of all levels - either as a home academy for local practitioners or as a drop-in for those needing a welcome place to train while traveling. Zac is a highly skilled martial artist and has a passion for sharing this knowledge with all who walk through the doors of the academy. The academy has a solid fundamentals program appropriate for entry level grapplers and as refresher training for those more experienced. The academy also features a more in-depth grappling laboratory that is among the most substantive and content-rich programs in the DFW metroplex. There are no cult-like rules, rituals or other diatribes that make the experience on the mats less fulfilling - just good people, a community, and really good jiu jitsu. Highly recommend."
