Dr. Emily Verst is a dedicated pediatrician and lactation consultant located at 6401 Harris Parkway in Fort Worth, Texas. She believes that working with children is the best job in the world, as their laughter and creativity bring joy to every day. Dr. Verst, a Fort Worth native, values the lifelong relationships she builds with families, just like the one she had with her childhood doctor.
After completing her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Dr. Verst returned to Austin for residency at the University of Texas Dell Medical School. During her training, she received a teaching award for creating a positive learning environment for medical students. She also became certified as a lactation consultant to better support parents through the challenges of breastfeeding.
Dr. Verst is passionate about building strong relationships with her patients and their families. She strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment in her office, where all families feel comfortable and cared for. She believes in empowering children and their caregivers to be active participants in their own healthcare.
When she's not working, Dr. Verst enjoys spending time with her family, reading, tackling DIY projects, and training her dogs. She is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to her patients, ensuring that they feel heard and supported every step of the way.

"Our 2 kids are patients of Dr Wylie (whom we also adore) but we recently saw Dr. Dewar for a sick visit for our 3 month old, and Dr Dewar was wonderful! The nurses and lab tech who helped us were also great! All very warm and personable. Dr Dewar was very thorough, got us in for an office visit on short notice, and we had very little wait time once we arrived for our visit. Would definitely recommend Dr. Dewar and team!"
