"I visited Dr. Benda once with general concerns. This review entails more than poor “bedside manner.” Part of the standard procedure of my ENT appointment was invasive and involved inserting a scope? down my nose and into/down the back of my throat. I expressed general anxiety over having a scope? inserted into my nose and down the back of my throat. Dr. Benda did not prepare me for the pain and seemed aggressive in how he inserted the device. He also did not ask permission. Whenever anyone inserts anything into someone’s body, whether it is part of a healthcare situation or not, it would make sense to prepare someone in some capacity or ask for permission. I expect my body to be treated with care and respect, and Dr. Benda did not do that."

"Was referred by Midwest Medical due to no endocrinologist taking new patients in the area. Took a week to get a call back from the referral to try to set up appointment, Susie was incredibly rude insisting my insurance wasn’t taken at this office. It had been verified multiple times by my doctor office and my insurance company. Two weeks I spent trying to prove my insurance, and still had no appointment !!! I’m under 65yrs old and on Medicare! Susie, I don’t think could wrap her head around this. Insisting every time , I’m an Illinois Medicaid patient. Which I’m not and if I was ,I’d pay the difference to get to a doctor asap. I’m glad I didn’t wait any longer . Within 2 weeks I’m already out of Surgery I had in Tampa Endocrine Hospital with the best surgeons in the world. They take Medicare I guess it worked out better than waiting for an appointment with this office!"

"It’s a privilege when you have the opportunity to be cared for by an expert in any field. I felt like I was that lion who needed a thorn removed-and then it was gone. I’m new in Dubuque and required treatment NOW. Then my schedule demanded me to travel and Dr. Dan cleared his schedule to treat me in follow up. It was urgent, they acted accordingly. I was so grateful when the pain subsided. The nurses were amazing. The facility is clean modern and inviting. Shout out the Haley at the front desk who trusted me to return with my co -pay, again - no time! I hope I don’t need to go back but this is one of those places you recommend, to everybody."
