"Absolutely terrible billing department. Dishonest and inflated bills. $6000 for a CT scan. What? $600 for a covid test. Insane Old outdated hospital with limited resources. Just Drive to Shiloh."

"Sparta Community Hospital was a great place to work. It’s small, it was close to home, and is a family environment. It kickstarted my career in healthcare, and I am thankful that I got the opportunity to start the rest of my life here. Negative experiences happen everywhere and I hate seeing individuals bash this establishment. A hospital is a hospital and healthcare is not cheap. All health insurance companies are different and don’t pay the same. People need to understand that. Doctors go to school for a long time and for that, you should be thankful. Some physicians don’t have the best bedside manner, but they deal with thousands of different people with thousands of different healthcare needs. They work long hours and even work overtime. Yes, you should be professional and caring, but sometimes the job is harder than can be handled at the time. Doctors do care believe me and Sparta Community Hospital is a caring place. To work and to obtain treatment."

"The torture I was put thru was absolutely ridiculous. I went in with some tooth pain and they made it worse! I had to leave WITH OUT getting discharged and go to another hospital that DID help me. After seeing a dentist he said what the hospital put me through was completely unethical and borderline illegal and made my condition worse. I've brought my children to this hospital! It's disgusting to know your not doing what you need to do in order to help others. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!"

"I went to this hospital in 2019 for a simple outpatient surgery. I was getting a cyst removed from the back of my neck. The doctors did not knock me out at all and I felt the entire thing and even a nasty burning smell. I would give them a zero star rating if possible. Do not go here. Go to St E's , Memorial or BJC in St Louis."

"The entire staff from the point we walked in the ER door was absolutely professional, caring, and efficient. I was very impressed with the skill and precision that the entire team showed in caring for my loved one. They were literal lifesavers!"
