"Twas a place to sleep and wash next day. Typical 50s "motel" and that's the Route 66 experience we were seeking. We could have pd more somewhere else yet opted for the experience."
"Power went out at home and checked in with my husband and 2 small dogs. Paid 104.00; 32 extra for the dogs. Room was disgusting. Pubic hair in the bathtub, cigarette holes and rips in the bedspread, curtain half way falling dow. No deadbolt and safety chain broken on door. Forgot socks so we kept our shoes on the entire time until we layer down. Slept in our clothes. No soap, etc. Found a worker and she got soap, towels, and sprayed the toilet and bathtub. We ended up going home at 2:30 am. I think most of the guests live there. They should be shut down by the health dept. I didn’t expect anything fancy, just something clean. Worst place I’ve ever stayed. I’m shocked that Maryville lets them get by with those conditions."
