"The staff were so friendly, and pleasant to talk too. They gave recommendations of places to eat and stuff to do! The rooms are very nice and clean! I felt the prices were very fair for the size and conditions of the rooms and place! I loved this place and will definitely come back! The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming not like a hotel the room we stayed in was like an apartment!"

"We had a lovely stay here, wish we could have stayed longer. The location alone is fantastic. Just steps from multiple different restaurants worth trying, the train station, and the river. The hotel is really tastefully decorated throughout and has lots of thoughtful touches like water bottles, a guestbook in the room, and earplugs for people who may not find the train horns relaxing like I do. I don't think we had time to enjoy everything the place had to offer. And thanks for the morning coffee!"

"I have stayed at the Kingsley Inn on all my visits since 2021. The hospitality of the staff as been overwhelming. Rooms were clean, and ready for patrons. The availability of food in the morning, was perfect. Plus, you just look outside and watch trains go past, one after the other. The location is perfect, for the park, Fort Diner, the Amtrak Station, and of course, downtown. I would recommend to all visitors to Ft. Madison to stay at the Kingsley"

"Our bookclub had their holiday meeting in the 3rd floor suite Nov.15, 2023. It's a gorgeous suite with a full kitchen. The staff was so wonderful! They helped us set up tables, get ice, etc. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the surrounding area. My special thanks to Taylor, Mandy, and Kat for all their help and advice."

"This place is amazing. It's a super cool hotel that has a bed and breakfast feel to it. We like watching hallmark movies and we felt like we were in one staying here. If you like the river or trains this is a great place because there are a lot of both right outside the window. If you are looking for a romantic getaway this hotel fits the bill."
