"I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma- Mantle Cell Lymphoma after a routine mammogram examination in April of 2023. After the shocking news, selecting an Oncologist was very important to me. Being an analyst, I did my research and selected Dr J. Rao based on her experience and background. There was something about her profile, smile in her photo that drew me to her and my first visit with her totally exceeded my expectations. I was totally amazed with how fast her staff called me back when they received the referral from my primary doctor. The staff quickly scheduled my first appointment. My second and third choice oncologists took 2-3 weeks to get back with me. I had my sisters at the first appointment and daughter goes with me too. This doctor managed to do something amazing to put me at ease with her personal confidence, reassurance that not only treats me medically, but also inspires me to fight hard to get well and heal my soul from within me during this new journey to get well. Her outmost personal care, follow up and support from her staff is like one big caring family and gives us the strength to do our part to get well because we know this medical staff is doing their best to care for us daily. The offices downtown and stoneoak are designed with a personal touch to make you feel warm and welcomed with a touch of color. I have enjoyed meeting other patients, the treatment rooms and television shows and movies. A quilt blanket, footies and head cap are provided to new patients. "Getting an appointment seems to be an issue. I called ten days ago and still no response. My first call, was told appt setter was absent. Called again two days later and provided my insurance information and the referring physician for records transfer. Still no call back. Not a good start and maybe an indicator of future follow up."
