"I had called them to make an appointment for my dad and they told me they it is going to be months to get an appointments with them! How is possible that a patient needs treatment and he must wait months to get it ! Her response was “ this is the process “."

"I am less than impressed with Texas Oncology. They aren't that quick at returning messages and then they ALWAYS mark the messaged "resolved' even when it isn't, which means I have to start a new message each time. Dr. Thomas is nice, but either she has no experience with my diagnosis or doesn't seem to be concerned. If I want explanations of anything, rather than calling or explaining it in an email, it's always "schedule a virtual appointment." Not sure why I have to do this just to have labs explained to me. I definitely feel like just a number here and not treated with any empathy or understanding."

"The scheduler quipped when I requested a Morning Appointment for Blood Work, that THEY HAVE INSTRUCTIONS NOT TO FAVOR patients who are not on any infusion program. SO, I was pushed to 2:30 pm....... And this happened after 5 Years of treatment. So, WHAT CHANGED ? Business Model ?"

"I go to Texas Oncology due to high blood hematocrit. I've been donating blood to Carter Blood rather than Phlebotomys but recently my iron level dropped very low. Starting seeing Dr. Thomas and they had me on iron infusions but once those levels came up. my hematocrit levels got dangerously high so they sent an order to give blood at Carter since they only allow donations every 60 days. Carter never got the order straight and I've left 2 phone messages, 2 web messages and even hand wrote a note and asked the front desk person to get it to the Doctor. NOT A WORD in 2 weeks. I finally waiting in a call queue (20 people in front) spoke to someone and someone finally called back and I expressed the urgency to get in for a Phlebotomy. That was Monday morning 2/12 and she said she would get me scheduled ASAP. NOT A WORD. this condition can cause a stroke if not addressed but they don't seem to be bothered to get me in a timely manner. I'll be looking for another"

"I was referred by the ER and had to leave a message. I didn't mind that at all as I know people are busy right now. However, when the patient coordinator called back she was rude, condescending, and short. I don't have a problem with getting a referral but how about explain the process. Not everyone works in your field and your short quip answers are uncalled for. No THANKS! I will go somewhere else. These reviews are SPOT on!"
