"We delivered our taxes on time, but they had to file an extension because they could not complete them by the April deadline. After months of phone calls inquiring about them, we did finally receive notice that they were ready. Unfortunately, they were done incorrectly showing us to receive a refund. Thank goodness I had double checked the numbers (they failed to see a W2 that was included). Not only do we now owe, we received an $875 invoice. The initial conversation when my husband asked about fees was that they would be a lot lower than H&R Block. Clearly this is not the case & you will pay double. Pretty sure our taxes took less than an hour to complete, but when in Aledo you will pay Aledo prices. What a shame."

"I don't like writing negative reviews, but this was one that needed to be written. Lane did my taxes and they were returned to me missing information on multiple docs along with an invoice for $850. I went to the office to explain the errors and ask two simple questions on another error. The taxes were sent back to me a 2nd time and the numbers were changed (but still incorrect). Also added was another $100 (now $950). I sent the files back to be fixed, AGAIN. This time I sent them what the blocks should be on the forms so there was no confusion. I got the taxes back with all the correct information the 3rd time. I then said that the additional $100 fee was improper and I would only pay the original fee and the company ghosted for nearly a month. I was calling multiple times a day to figure out what was going on. Finally, Lane got Mr. Catlin on the phone and he made up a bunch of reasons why that extra fee should be there when it was clear he was completely out of the loop in the office. In the end Mr. Catlin agreed to the original price (which was still 6x more than I had ever paid in the past for tax form prep). Mr. Catlin even expressed that I use a different service next year if I am going to "nitpick" each line on my tax forms (as if incorrect information is in any way acceptable). The 2 stars are for Alicia (Front Office Manager) who is very nice and seems to be genuine. Better leadership from the managing partners would truly help this organization."
