"I am a caregiver to a lady who transferred online, $7100 to Schwab, from another company. Then before she could invest, she contacted Schwab and was told that they could not talk to her because that money was fraud because they had checked with Social Security that she was deceased. She had a written statement from Schwab for the $7100. She checked with Social Security and they said they have no record of Schwab contacting Social Security and that Social Security does not show that she is deceased. After several more attempts she has been repeatedly given the run around and has just received a statement from Schwab that show she has a zero balance. She has filed a complaint with the appropriate regulators and is also considering suing Schwab. In my opinion, basically Schwab or someone working for Schwab has stolen her money. As far as I am concerned I will advise anyone I know to avoid doing business with Schwab and instead use a different company for their investments. This lady can not afford to lose that money and I intend to help her in any way I can to see she gets it back."
"You want to invest with the El Paso branch? Want to call them or fax them? Forget about it. Not happening. Never in my life have I seen a billion dollar company not have fax and phone numbers for all their branches. If you can’t do something as simple as that then you shouldn’t even be in business. Taking my money straight to your competition. This is ridiculous. Have a great day."

"Send an overnight express mail to this address and the post office sent it to a different post office and now says ready for pickup, three days later. I was assured by Schwab that this is a physical address and verified on Google maps that it is. I would suggest either using FEDX instead of the post office, or sending it to their post office address instead since this address does not seem to be useful for overnight mail as the address is listed as such. I don't know or care how the screw up happened, it just did and so can't recommend this for overnight mail."
