"Alafia! The Institute of African Religion, its Priest/esses Oluwo (pbuh) and Devotees have provided an amazing atmosphere for learning and practicing Ifa in its Traditional African form. The late Oluwo Odulana Ifagunwa Dr. Edward Powell was the founder of the Institute and had dedicated his life, education and resources towards the devellopment and maintenance of African Religion in Houston. Oshofu Ifaleye of Nigeria now having returned to Africa was also one of the Institutes founders. Oshofu an Engineer by Profession, worked hard in providing Sacred Geometry Courses that served to strengthen, guide and read our own ORI which in IFA signifies our head and destiny but can encompass our Psyche and mindstate. In IFA we learn that ORI is our primary DIETY. Yes it is important to take orders from HEAD-quarters. Oshofu Ifaleye developed a science based esoteric excercise that help the practitioner to know where her head is at any given time. The Institutes High Priestess Iyanifa Ifalola Omitawade Okotie to date has singlehandedly maintained the Institute. She was able to care for the Elder Oluwo for years during his illness and in his final days she was by his side and continues to care for his implements etc. Priestess Iyanifa Ifalola has provided the public with countless divination services from private readings, to various initiations, head cleanings, baths, making of Priests/esses and extensive Priest training. Priestess Iyanifa Ifalola provides Life Coaching services and works to keep the Institute alive for the Houston Community. This ILE (house) and Institute was established in 1996 and are a part of the lineage of Dr.Epega. The original founder was Oluwo Ifalete of the Imole Oluwa Institue in Africa 1904. Oluwo Ifalete is the Grandson of the founder of the Imole Oluwa Institute in Africa. I feel very fortunate to have been under the tutelage of the Institute"
