"I purchased from their other business, Saxophone center, and if that was any indication of their work, I would not recommend any of their businesses. MY EXPERIENCE WITH SAXOPHONE CENTER: FOR THOSE PURCHASING ONLINE: My experience, won't necessarily happen to you. TL;DR: Don't purchase online. I purchased a YSS-62 Soprano Saxophone from Saxophone center for $2950, it was promised to be in professional playing condition. I was eager to receive the horn, and upon arrival, immediately put a leak light through the horn, and found that multiple pads were leaking, and that some pads were not closing fully because of mechanical issues. I contacted Saxophone Center about the issue, and they replied that Shipping caused the damages, which there was no indication of as there were no sign of trauma to the shipping container, the instrument case, or the instrument itself. To further cement my suspicions, I gained the opinion of a professional saxophonist and 2 technicians from Tim's Music Store in Sacramento, CA; they all agreed this was no where near professional condition, or playing condition for that matter. I received a quote for ~$1,600 in needed repairs needed to fix the horn: Replace all the pads that were worn down, Replace worn down cork, fix the mechanical issues including loose key structures throughout the horn. Saxophone center said they would refund me $50, which 1) Would not cover the cost to get the horn into barely playing condition and 2) Would not cover the cost of shipping back. After much discussion, he agreed to refund it fully, HOWEVER, I would have to pay $125 to have it be shipped back and to cover the cost of them shipping it here. I almost agreed to it, however I do not trust the eyes of Saxophone center to say that there are no damages upon return after they had sent me a horn that was in "professional-playing condition" that has over $1,600 needed in repair. I would not recommend purchasing online as the workmanship, customer service, and overall experience was not good."
