"I recently completed the build of a new construction property on Lake Travis, and worked with SSBT for my Construction Loan (to build the property) and the Construction to Permanent Loan (Mortgage) led by Christina Hopson. Christina called and introduced herself early in the construction process. Even though the project took almost two years to complete (material and supply chain impacts due to Covid) before the mortgage with Christina was to execute, Christina stayed in contact with me the entire time. In fact, Christina would call and share updates for things such as if the conforming loan limit changed and how that might impact the mortgage, interest rate updates, etc. Towards the end of the build, Christina and her team helped guide me through the process that included the final inspection/appraisal for the loan, the certificate of occupancy, elevation certificate, scheduling the closing date, etc. And this was no small feat!!!! We were met with multiple challenges at the end of the build that involved changing the closing date several times resulting from new home elevator issues and other unforeseen obstacles. Throughout the process, Christina was very patient and extremely understanding. Due to her extensive experience she was not met with anything she has not seen before, and helped guide me and counsel me to a successful closing. There is no one I would have rather worked with through this challenge than Christina and her team. Quite frankly, I don’t know of any person in Christina’s shoes who would have handled it as professionally and calmly as she did. The entire mortgage team was super nice, patient and proactive, which helped keep me calm through the twists and turns of completing the build timely. Thank you for everything, Christina! And thank you to the entire mortgage team. All of your efforts and help is greatly appreciated."
