"As a recent college graduate and a new hire in Washington D.C, I cannot even begin to express how much the Dance Institute of Dallas prepared me for my adult life. The poise, confidence, christian values, and most of all the discipline that Mrs. Norma and Mrs. Leia instilled in me were not only formidable in my young life, but will carry me through the years. I started dancing at DID when I was just five years old and would certainly recommend it to anyone!"

"I spent my entire dance career at DID from age 8 to age 22. Mrs. Shields and Miss Leia were the most wonderful, caring, fun and incredible teachers. I looked forward to going to dance every day and they always encouraged me to push myself beyond what I thought I could attain, while allowing me to decide my limits for that day. I'm beyond grateful for the discipline, passion and joy they passed on to me. Every skill taught in the classroom extended into how I acted and reacted both in and outside of the classroom. They made me not only a better dancer, but a better person and that is what truly matters."

"I had a 3 hour phone conversation with Norma and we talked about my daughter, Norma's school, her daughter and their ethics as women and teachers. Because I have a sensitive child, it was important that the school we chose were indeed good people who cared about all children. We were there a year and all went well. Norma and her daughter were superb and they were exactly who they said they were. At the year's end I decided to pull my daughter out of school because we needed to give her a break. I told Norma so but we were going to finish out the Nutcracker performance (it would have been my daughter's 2nd year.) Instead, one day I was treated very rudely out of nowhere from Norma and then I received an EMAIL saying due to my daughter's crying, they are giving my money back and pulling my daughter out of the nutcracker. She also included a nice little note about how my daughter will grow into dancing later in life perhaps. (It was just such a rude email and quite cowardly that it was even done over email - especially since I had a face to face relationship with Norma.) There was no discussion and the rude treatment earlier that day towards me wasn't Christian at all, in my opinion. I didn't tell my daughter how it happened because it was kind of like a "we give up on your daughter and don't want her anymore". I was never rude or mean to either of the women; I trusted them with my daughter. And my daughter really liked Norma's daughter. A few months later, I saw Norma's daughter and she spoke to my daughter while walking by but didn't speak to me. It was unnerving and a clear testament that not all Christians will behave accordingly. Unless of course, you fit in with a specific 'circle' of people. I was quite disappointed in the ladies and extremely hurt at the way they treated myself and my daughter. Especially after all the conversations I had with Norma concerning the sensitivity of my child. I never thought we would be treated that way by any school, especially one run by sisters in Christ. #suchislife May 1, 2018 - In response to the school. Your response sounds so beautiful. But they way that your mother handled me and honestly the way you ignored me later when my daughter and I saw you in public does not match your response, here on Google. Like I said, I discussed with your mother about my daughter before we started the school. Also, your statement of my daughter not performing during rehearsals for weeks is an untrue statement. Be honest, Leia. Also, my daughter cried the year before as well. But still performed beautifully. Norma's behavior and her words were disrespectful and both of your attitudes (with no cause from myself), were also disrespectful, unprofessional and to be honest, Non-Christian. I think it is wonderful that the man below my review had a great experience with you all. Unfortunately, my daughter and I aren't your type of people and therefore were treated poorly when you decided to give up on my daughter. And not just for the performance. You must forget, your mother basically kicked us out of the school and told me that my daughter has no talent. I am a Christian myself and am not only still in disbelief of how we were handled with such disrespect and what seemed to be anger, but also your response down below - as if you are totally okay with your behavior. You all need to take responsibility for how you treat others. It is not okay. Your mother and you are not above me or my daughter."

"My daughter began dancing at this studio when she was 8 years old. She is now 22...and still dancing there, having taken four years off to go to college in another state. I cannot day enough good things about the ballet mistresses here. My daughter was a “hand full” when she was younger, but they worked with her, not only on her dancing skills, but also on her character. They helped her grow to be the person that she is today. They help each student to be their very best. They truly care about all of their students, and if the students work hard, they will have every chance to succeed here!"

"I just wanted to take the time to send you off this short note regarding Dance Institute of Dallas and our experiences thus far. My husband and I decided that our kids should join this dance Institute program in Carrollton, TX because it was a very friendly and family oriented dance school and we admire their "Mission" to pursue artistic excellence in a Christian principled environment. All my family has been a part of this Institute for the past three years. Both of our daughters who was 7 and 8 years old started in the Classical Ballet - Beginning Division and over the years have now moved from Pre-Pointe training Level I to Pointe I - Level IV. Our kids have always been encouraged and supported during their time at the Institute. Dancing has brought discipline, strength and confidence to both our daughters. The staff of teachers/instructors at Dance Institute of Dallas has been extremely talented and knowledgeable in the latest dance techniques. We just sure that Dance Institute of Dallas will help our daughters stand out in professional dance careers or whatever endeavor they will pursue in future."
