"After having experienced several different seminaries, I wish I could give 0 stars for DTS, and here are my 4 main reasons: * There are some professors and many students whose genuine intention is to live for God. Nevertheless: 1. PROFESSORS. Some of them promote their political agenda in subtle ways, esp. in the systematic theology department. They are not only left-leaning but also spew their hatred towards right-leaning people, esp. Trump, throughout their lectures. I do not care which political leaning they have. Still, they should either carefully examine and fairly present both sides or stop altogether insinuating their political agenda to naive students who came to study the "Word of God" and not their political ideologies/preferences. 2. CURRICULUM. This institution is quite skilled at promoting its curriculum online as if they have a unique or extraordinary program. Such a notion, however, is far from reality and, frankly, falls quite short of their advertising. Just as hundreds of students who came here hoping to learn the whole "66 Books of the Bible" thoroughly, I, too, held high expectations with great enthusiasm to learn. It simply is nothing short of a well-put marketing gimmick. The more you study here, the faster your mind and heart will become fossilized and cold rather than being set on fire for God and His Word. There are several reasons why this unfortunate reality hits many people here. Still, I will only say the heartfelt pursuit of God and His Word out of a deep love should replace the predominantly intellectual/academic pursuit. If more professors are genuinely in love with the God of their subject matter of study, I believe they cannot help but emanate the light and joy of their God through their teaching. 3. CHAPEL. Their statement of faith says they acknowledge the Holy Spirit as one of the three Persons of the Godhead. Though it is true in their written confession, their practice seems to carry little to no meaningful engagement with the Holy Spirit. For example, you can hardly find anyone who raises hands, cries or sings joyfully during their chapel. Of course, DTS does not prohibit anyone from doing so; doing so is each student's choice. What I am trying to communicate here is the prevalent atmosphere of this place as a whole lacks something real/passionate. This is a highly rigid place with much head knowledge and little heartfelt engagement. No one may stop anyone from having an exuberant worship, but the place feels quite dry spiritually. Many people here, esp. the leaders/professors, do not seem to possess a meaningful, ongoing relationship with the Holy Spirit. 4. LEADERSHIP. This is by far both the biggest disappointment and the biggest deterrent to me from recommending this school to anyone on earth. The leadership here will break any Christian heart who puts their faith and confidence in it. The Holy Spirit must struggle to coexist with the agenda underlying this administration. I sincerely pray for God to intervene on behalf of the hearts and minds of those directing this mockery; disappointment and disenchantment do not begin to express my experience under said direction. My purpose in writing this review is to both pierce the conscience of those failures at which it is directed and provoke a revival of a more Christ centered spirit in its stead. This institution owes a duty to God to truly celebrate the Good News of our faith to students who choose to pursue Christ here, not to derail it. ** Summary: Institution run by bureaucratic modern day Pharisees (esp the administration) whose priority rests on religious duties and intellectual accumulation with little genuine, passionate love for God and people (Micah 6:8). Just a good FASCADE, and I recommend you look elsewhere."

"I graduated with the MABS in the 1980s. What I learnt at DTS has formulated my spiritual life and understanding. I have excelling retired after 45 years of medical practice but also have been involved in adjunct Bible School teaching, a short term associate pastor role and small group teaching - all of which were founded by the great teaching, learning and understanding that I received as a foreign student at Dallas."

"If you’re reading this review, then chances are you’re familiar with DTS and you might even be thinking about enrolling. If you feel called to Seminary and want to learn God’s Word, this is the place to be. While other divinity schools, and universities with religious departments are busy filling their students heads with worldly nonsense, DTS is going to help you build a strong foundation of God’s word and will expose you to things in the text that will surprise you and even at times scare you. While I was completing two different hospital Chaplaincy residencies, I had the chance to talk with peers who studied at other local institutions (who’s names I will leave out) and I was absolutely dumbfounded by the amount of nonsense being taught at other schools. If you’re a born again, repentant Christian, this is the place for you. The only complaints I have with the school are the advising department who is hard to get a hold of and who might even mess things up causing you to delay your graduation. The school should also think of some new ways to vet prospective students as there were quite a few wolves in sheep’s clothing during my time there who had absolutely no business being enrolled there."

"One of the best place for heart and head growth! The community that they build up over the year is an amazing gift to each student in different generation. The campus is big enough to have green space in downtown Dallas and small enough to give students time to go to different places for different activities and events after class."

"Great school to study in depth all 66 books of the Bible as well as church history, theology, original biblical languages, counseling and Christian education. Tuition is not the cheapest but plenty of scholarships are available. The student body is very diverse which enriches your training experience. The seminary has a large library, student housing, cafe and food pantry. Guest parking is available. All campus is wheelchair accessible."
