"We've worked with The Ray Tax Group for the past 4-5 years now and have always had an excellent experience. Other than one year where there were delays from the county administration side with processing protests, they have been prompt with filing our property tax protests and getting us the right valuations. Also, I really like that they only charge if we have an actual reduction in our final property tax amount, and not just a reduction in assessed value. That is the most valuable part to me. They are also very prompt in responding to communications."

"Unfortunately I had a very negative experience with this group. They push through paperwork to help with our real estate taxes without explaining what services they be providing and locked in fees. Without giving me a clear description of what they are doing and the services they are providing we just started getting very large bills. Only after the bills were sent with a very communicative calling every other week to try to collect the fees. This experience was very disappointing as it was clear that they only cared about collection of fees and not providing quality service."

"I echo the other customers giving negative ratings. Terrible communication, no help on your taxes. I think what they do is just push the button for "dispute", which anyone can do and which gives you an automatic 5-10% off, and then bill for their "help" in getting the reduction. I know this because I demanded to talk to one of their experts. After weeks of being put off by the receptionist, I finally spoke to a Ray Tax group expert. Unfortunately, that expert said she was not assigned to my property and that she could not answer any substantive questions about why my property went up x 4 in value (hence, way more property taxes)."

"I had already filed my own protest with Collin county when I engaged ray tax group. I was hoping they would take over and get the best valuation for me. Unfortunately, they didn't negotiate any lower than the settlement that Collin county offered me!! Somehow they still felt entitled to bill me for achieving nothing! Lesson learned."

"Do not recommend! This company completely dropped the ball on our taxes. They do not communicate who your agent is and have no one to contact or communicate with to follow up on the process. When I called the main line, the person responded that there were no updates… but when I called Collin County Appraisal District, they informed me that Ray Tax Group had cancelled the property tax protest. It was too late to try to protest on our own. Every time I called to ask what had happened, the secretary just said that all agents were “out in the field”. No one has ever called me back with an update/explanation. Do NOT trust this company with your taxes. They will only let you down."
