"The most difficult bank literally ever. Customer service can’t tell you your balance, the app constantly has issues. Highly recommend NOT using this branch"

"I allowed 30 minutes to get to the bank and drive across the street to the dentist. I was LATE for my dental appointment when I should have been 15 minutes early! If you are using the drive through and you have a boat load of transactions GO INSIDE show some respect! I sat behind one car that long and finally couldn't sit any longer and had to walk inside! DATCU hire more people if you can not help people in 25 minutes! LAST again it was put in the savings instead of my checking"

"I really wish there was an option for zero stars. If ever there was a group of useless people this is it! I had initially come to this bank for a personal loan. When I first asked about a loan, my credit was good. The person from personal loans had suggested a home equity line of credit for an even lower rate, so I went that route. Liza Tyrer, from the mortgage division, took nearly TWO months to figure out house was not eligible to use as collateral because it was not my co-owners primary residence (even though I was the only applicant on the loan). Months earlier, she essentially told me it was a done deal. By the time I tried to go back and get the personal loan, my credit had dropped being that I had to put some of my tuition ($2,500) on a card. I had asked Liza if that would be an issue for the home equity line and she assured me it wouldn’t. Needless to say, I was not approved for either loan. So there’s that story. Yesterday I decided to go to the branch to try to deposit a check that was a bit of a challenge due to the layout of the check to deposit via mobile. I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to make the hour round trip drive to Denton to deposit it at my regular bank. When I got there I was pressured three times to take a photo by a male teller. After insisting that today wasn’t a good photo day, he proceeded to “verify“ my identity by means of asking me a number of different personal questions. Because apparently my photo ID was not sufficient? Finally after about 10 minutes of being grilled and questioned, he told me that he was not able to cash a check due to the “history” of my account. Really?? Apparently, it was too short of a history to cash a state-issued check. Yep, I was trying to con them by cashing a $256 check. So let me re-state that these people, and I mean these PEOPLE, every single last one of them, are USELESS!! UPDATE! Closed on a loan for more than twice the amount I was trying to get at DACTU with Randolph Brooks CU!! What an amazing credit union with superior customer service! I closed in 35 days and it took Ms. Tyrer 2 MONTHS to tell me they couldn’t process my loan. I am so happy things worked out the way they did, otherwise I would be struggling anytime I want to do something basic like cash a check with DACTU! Thank goodness!"

"You have to be Coo Coo to use Datcu. Worst bank policies and customer service does not exist. Long home times only to be transferred to another person that's clueless. Go In person they're still clueless. Online banking is always down. I wouldn't recommend unless you like dealing with incompetent people."

"So a DATCU rep had made a mistake causing me to incur fees. We are human, mistakes happen. How I was treated when I brought my complaint to the Aubrey location is what keeps me as a customer. You are not an account number with DATCU, you are a person, your tellers are real people in your community that care. I feel good when I walk in the lobby and am greeted my familiar smiling faces. Special thanks to Kim who quickly handled my issue with professionalism and speed."
