"He may do great work but I would never advise anyone to trust this guy. I dropped off 2 rare semiauto rifles for cleaning in May of 2019. He will not return phone calls or emails for months now. Next step is legal action. Repeat, I would not trust this guy."

"It too long a story but rifle rebarreling is not David's thing nor is timely communication. Dave is a good man but has way too much on his plate to do it by himself from what I observed as a business process flow analyst. He is too busy keeping the wheels on the bus. Too much for a good technical person , like Dave, to do and be able to run the other aspects of customer service. He seemed overwhelmed everytime I went in there. The guy that was helping which I hope was not family was great at technical knowledge, but should rarely be allowed in front of customers. Customer facing interaction was not his strong suit. Dave was way better at talking to customers. 1911s and other pistols yes but he has to communicate better, set a resonable follow up date and then follow up. Dont take money up front for rebarreling if you dont do rebarreling. Just say that is not your expertise. Even Drs specialize in everything these days. Specialist for this specialist for that. We get it. I think he needs a dependable office manager running the intake while he is allowed to focus on the finer technical aspects. But dont worry now he is closing shop. Who knows why. But he owes me 200.00 from Dec 2017."

"I purchased a basic Remington 1911 G1 and they replaced all major parts with Wilson Combats parts that I supplied. They did fantastic job, pistol is now a true piece of workmanship. I will take all future gunsmithing needs to them."

"Couldn’t put my new colt government 1911 back together after field stripping and cleaning it. Called and spoke to Dave. He immediately said he’d be glad to help. I went in and a younger guy was there. He showed me how to put it back together. I offered to pay but he said there was no charge. Thank you, guys! Next time I need a gun, holster, or a detailed cleaning for one of my ARs I’m going here to repay the gesture. Really appreciate it!!"

"I collect vintage top break pocket revolvers from Smith & Wesson, Harrington & Richardson, Iver Johnson, etc. Western Tactical is the only shop I trust to dig into and repair these 100+ year old guns. Great guy to deal with, I'm lucky to have found him."
