Ramada by Wyndham Vandalia

"The room stunk to me. Like musty wet damp smell. I never stayed at a Ramada before. The shower was great, my husband said. There are no vending machines for snacks or liquid refreshments. They had a small store they put together but was very simple. Chips, pop, water, and some candy. Also, some basic bathroom items. Ice cream cones were all melted before they were put in the freezer. No ice cream in the cones. They said they had continental breakfast, but they had none. Not even coffee. The place was not packed. Not at all, and they put us in a room in the back with a view of the smoking section. I won't be staying at a Ramada again."

"I know this motel was a lot more reasonable than other motels but when you have a 1/8” of dust on the lamps between the beds and some mild in the bathroom, it’s cause to wonder. Also, television only had a few stations. This Ramada was just a place to lay our on our trip home. I would never recommend it to anyone."

"It’s not clean. No matter how nice the workers are or how convenient the hotel is from the freeway we couldn’t stay because it isn’t clean. If the housekeepers don’t care about the cleanliness of the room and if Ramada doesn’t care about updating the establishment what else don’t they care about? We couldn’t risk the bedbug reviews to be true so we just left to pay 100 dollars more a night at Holiday Inn. Hopefully we can get a refund in the morning because we were told they couldn’t do it tonight."

"Located close to a Pilot truck plaza off the main interstate. Great place to rest. Coffee ready by 5 am : ) has a guest coin laundry room on the 1st floor, a gym, and a few spaces for semi truck parking in the back or those hauling larger loads of goods. U-shaped entrance/exit. Lovely seating areas in the main foyer. Night personnel was friendly!"

"The desk staff was super friendly. No complaints at all. However, when I checked in and got to the room, the sheets had not been changed from the previous lodger(s). This was evidenced by the dirty, wrinkled sheets with "black curly" hairs on them. I called the front desk immediately and asked for housekeeping. The lady at the desk came and changed the sheets herself. Thank you. Later, after having dinner with my granddaughter, it was late, we decided to get some sleep. Pulled back the sheets, got ready for bed and there was a BEDBUG on one of the pillows. We took a picture. Called front desk immediately...again. The lady came and confirmed the bug. We checked out as fast as we could! And demanded a full refund. As I said, the staff was super nice and very understanding. But there is NO WAY I will ever try to stay there again. It's very doubtful I will ever book a stay at ANY Ramada by Wyndham ever again. It was a nightmare! Thankfully, we were able to find better/CLEANER accommodations."
